Blue Sea Systems BS 5046 ST Blade Fuse Block (8 Circuits)

Blue Sea Systems BS 5046 ST Blade Fuse Block (8 Circuits)

The Blue Sea Systems BS 5046 ST Blade Fuse Block is the solution for extremely tight installation spaces. It protects up to eight circuitsusing standard ATO/ATC blade fuses (max. 30A per circuit / 100A total). The intelligent "single side design" with single-side cable routing drastically minimizes the space requirement. Thanks to the precision-fit cover, the block is water-jet protected to IP66 and officially ignition-protected (ISO 8846 / SAE J1171).

Blue Sea BS 5046 - Maximum space-saving through intelligent design

The Blue Sea BS 5046 compact fuse block from the proven ST series was specially developed for electrical installations where available mounting space is highly limited: Whether in tight boat dashboards, in ATVs, or in densely packed electronic panels of a motorhome – this 8-circuit fuse block solves space problems in no time. The key is its "single-side design" (single-side cable entry). The main power cable (supply) as well as all eight consumer outputs are routed to the block from the same side. This clever construction saves a massive amount of width compared to classic fuse blocks and allows for an extremely clean, bundled cable layout.

The advantages of the Blue Sea BS 5046

Ignition protected and ready for the engine compartment

An outstanding safety feature of the BS 5046 is its sealed system. The included insulating polycarbonate cover not only meets strict ABYC/USCG guidelines for preventing accidental short circuits but also makes the device dust-tight and water-jet protected (IP66 protection class) when the cover is in place. Even more important for boat owners: The fuse block is officially ignition protected and certified according to ISO 8846 and SAE J1171 standards. This allows it to be installed directly in the engine compartment of gasoline-powered boats with complete peace of mind.

Uncompromising maritime quality for maximum reliability

To permanently withstand the harsh, damp, and saline marine environment, Blue Sea Systems relies on the highest quality materials. All current-carrying busbars and fuse clips are made of heavy-duty tinned copper, which ensures superior conductivity and effectively prevents corrosion. The connection screws (#8-32 / M4) for the consumer ring terminals come factory-equipped with captive star washers. This guarantees that cable connections will not loosen even under constant engine and wave vibration.

Key advantages at a glance:

  • Ultra-compact for 8 circuits: Single-side cable entry reduces the required installation space to an absolute minimum.
  • Weatherproof & Safe: IP66 protection class (water-jet protected) and insulation according to ABYC/USCG.
  • Ignition Protected: Certified according to ISO 8846 and SAE J1171 (suitable for engine compartments).
  • High Capacity: Protects 8 separate circuits (max. 30A per output / 100A total load).
  • Marine-grade: Tinned copper busbars for excellent conductivity and long-term corrosion protection.
  • Vibration-resistant: Robust connection screws with integrated star washers.
